It’s that time of year on the events calendar when Artown gives way to Hot August Nights. The monthlong arts festival drops the curtain after its annual closing night concert at Rancho San Rafael on Friday, just as the celebration of classic cars revs its engines in Virginia City, Reno and Sparks.
But don’t miss out on other regional events — the Biggest Little Wing Fest downtown, the Red, White and Brew Festival at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe and the L’chaim! Truckee Tahoe Jewish Festival in downtown Truckee, to name a few.
