Genoa, Nev. — We survived three days of red flag warnings without any major fires close to home, but we see smoke from either the Dove Fire burning south on the outskirts of Sonoma or the Junction Fire burning to the north near Hallelujah Junction. According to fire.ca.gov both fires are similar in size at under 300 acres as of last report.
Most of the airnow.gov gauges are indicating good air quality around Carson Valley, though Carson City is showing just over the line into moderate territory.
