Former J Resort security supervisor appears in court after YouTuber sting video

RENO, Nev. — A former J Resort employee who was confronted on camera by a YouTube creator in May over allegations of sexually explicit online conversations with someone he believed was an underage girl appeared in court Wednesday morning in Reno.

James Ziebell, 38, a former assistant security supervisor at J Resort in downtown Reno, was caught on camera by a YouTuber named “Skeeter Jean.” According to the video, Ziebell communicated for several months with a decoy posing as a teenage girl through Facebook Messenger before agreeing to meet.

At Wednesday morning’s arraignment, Ziebell pleaded not guilty.
