NV Energy restores power to 98% of customers after Hawk Fire de-energizations

NV Energy crews have restored electricity to nearly all customers affected by emergency de-energizations tied to the Hawk Fire, with about 1,275 customers still without power as of Tuesday evening.

The utility said it has restored service to nearly 98% of the roughly 60,000 customers who were originally impacted when the emergency de-energization began.

On Tuesday, crews restored power to all customers north and east of U.S. 395, along with the Bordertown area. Restoration work was expected to continue overnight in the Raleigh Heights area, where additional customers were expected to have power restored Tuesday night…
