Homeowners face a long road back after Hawk Fire smoke and ash damage

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Restoration work has begun on homes damaged by the Hawk Fire, but the process is more complex than many homeowners expect.

Chris Nelson, general manager of Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Reno and Tahoe, said the cleanup comes in three phases: decontamination, deodorization and rebuilding.
