RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Residents of a low-income mobile home park in south Reno have moved out after being told earlier this year by the owner that they had 30 days to leave, and people connected to the property say the land is likely headed for commercial development.
About a dozen mobile homes were still standing in the past week and were about to be removed or demolished at the former Evergreen Trailer Park off Virginia Street in south Reno.
In April, residents received a 30-day notice to move out. Lloyd Palmer, a former resident, said at the time, “Well, 30 days isn’t enough, I don’t think. We’ve been here nine years. I’m disabled and a veteran. I’ve never been late on our rent. And I think we need longer.”…
