When a legal question comes up, figuring out where to turn for an answer can be almost as difficult as the question itself. This October, people in Northern Nevada will have a chance to sit down with a lawyer and get help without paying for the advice.
As part of the American Bar Association’s Celebrate Pro Bono 2026, Nevada lawyers will offer free Ask-A-Lawyer sessions and law fairs throughout the month, including opportunities in Reno, Carson City, and Pahrump. More events are planned during the week of Oct. 26-31, with additional help available by phone and virtually.
The sessions will mostly focus on civil legal needs. People can bring questions about powers of attorney, wills and estate planning, veterans’ issues, divorce, guardianship, foreclosure, family law, child support or custody, protective orders, landlord-tenant issues, small claims, collections, immigration and bankruptcy, among other topics…
