The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (WCSAR) team rescued two hikers two days in a row.
WCSAR, Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD), and REMSA responded to an injured hiker on the Hunter Creek Trail in southwest Reno on Thursday afternoon.
Search and Rescue personnel made contact with the female hiker by phone and learned she was experiencing a medical condition that prevented her from continuing her hike. WCSAR teams responded to her location, approximately two miles up the trail, where they worked alongside REMSA personnel to secure her in a mobile gurney and safely transport her out of the backcountry…
