More than 8,000 NV Energy customers are without power in parts of Sparks and Reno, according to outage information from the utility company.
NV Energy reports that 5,789 customers are affected in the 89431 ZIP code, which covers portions of Sparks, while another 2,295 customers are experiencing outages in the 89512 ZIP code in Reno.
