We finally know the next occupant of the former Juicy’s Giant Hamburgers location in Reno: Crak N’ Grill, a breakfast and lunch spot. It’s going to serve burgers, breakfast burritos and coffee — and there’s a lot of winking references to something. The menu includes Roast Crak coffee, and the vinyl sign atop the restaurant reads, “One taste and you’re hooked.” We’ll probably be able to figure it out after its planned March 1 open date. Here’s what we know .

The Crak N’ Grill news comes on the heels of the opening of Cookie Plug in south Reno , which serves up “fat stacks baked daily.” Up next, probably: Snorty McSpeedball’s Hash House (location TBD).

Double-double isn’t on the secret voting menu

Next month, Nevada voters can legally participate in both the Republican primary and the Republican caucus . It’ll be the last opportunity to get the double-voting urge out of our systems, according to the top election officials in the state and county, because it will be “impossible” to vote twice in the 2024 elections. Washoe’s VREMS system tracks in real time if a voter’s unique code is used twice, canceling the second ballot received if someone votes in person and by mail.
