Prices at the pump hit a stalemate in the U.S. this week as slightly higher oil prices were countered by lower gas demand.
“Like watching dogs play chess, not much is happening,” said AAA spokesperson Andrew Gross. “The national average for gas will likely maintain a glacial grind higher for the immediate future.”
The national average for a gallon of gas was $3.10, up slightly from $3.07 over the weekend but still lower by 38 cents less than a year ago, according to the latest AAA fuel data.
Nevada’s average gas price of $3.80 continues to significantly outpace the national average.
