The National Weather Service is issuing a winter storm warning across much of northern Nevada and the Sierra on Saturday night. Starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday a winter storm warning will take effect in Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Verdi, Virginia City, Mina, Gardnerville, Yerington, Schurz, Smith Valley and Hawthorne.
