Tahoe Snowboarder Triggers Large Backcountry Avalanches

Tim Humphreys , a Tahoe snowboarder, posted POV footage of a slide right below him, that he captioned, “Desk Pop 💥”.

Based in Truckee, Humphreys spends a lot of time exploring the mountains around Tahoe, and some recent POV footage posted to his Instagram shows why we always need to exercise caution when going off-piste.

Tim rose to fame through his POV footage of his riding, but this one is a little less celebratory. Humphreys captioned the video, “Some… mitigation in the backcountry yesterday.”
