Reed takes third in girls state wrestling; SLAM won the girls team title

SLAM Academy from Southern Nevada won the girls team title at the girls state wrestling invitational on Friday at Bullhead City, Arizona.

SLAM won with 113 points, Centennial was second with 87.5 and Reed took third with 82.

The girls invitational was held in conjunction with the boys state tournament at the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse in Bullhead City.

Reed won the team title last year.

Individual champions from the North include: 107, Bella Coronado, McQueen; 185, Maria Aiono, Reed, and 225, Charley Timms, Reed.
