Toll Brothers files application for 57-home Riverpoint at Idlewild project in Reno

Toll Brothers continues to expand its footprint in Reno as the high-end real estate developer submitted an application for a new housing project.

The luxury homebuilder filed paperwork with the City of Reno on Monday for a project called Riverpoint at Idlewild, according to the application obtained by the Reno Gazette Journal.

The project, located on 2865 Idlewild Drive, would have 57 single-family housing units built within an attached residential subdivision featuring a three-plex and seven-plex mixed design, according to renderings.

The buildings will stand two stories tall with units ranging from 1,724 square feet to 1,899 square feet in size. The units will have three to four bedrooms with attached two-car garages. Additional parking also will be available on driveways and on-street through parallel and perpendicular stalls, which will bring the total parking for the project to 246 spaces.

The application comes at a time when housing supply remains a hot-button issue in the area. The city of Reno just saw its median price for an existing single-family home surpass the $600,000 mark once again in March after two months below the threshold. Sparks also rose to $535,500 during the same period, bringing up the combined Reno-Sparks median home price to $575,000.
