Election 2024: Selena La Rue Hatch, Diana Sande running for Nevada Assembly District 25

The race between Democratic incumbent Selena La Rue Hatch and Republican challenger Diana Sande for Assembly District 25 looks to be one of the most hotly contested legislative races in Northern Nevada.

Democrats hold the exact number of seats needed for a supermajority in the State Assembly. A Republican win in District 25 would break the hold that could help override vetoes by Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo.

According to voter registration statistics, Democrats have a less than 3 percentage point advantage over Republicans in District 25 – and nonpartisans make up about a quarter of voters in the district.

Election Day is Nov. 5. Early voting runs from Oct. 19 to Nov. 1.
