Topline: It’s not uncommon for the Federal Transit Administration to invest in buses. However, the buses are usually running on the ground, not dangling 28 feet in the air. In 2010, visitors to the new Regional Transit Center in Reno, Nevada were greeted by a 40-foot-long bus stuck on a pole above the main entrance at a 45-degree angle. The art installation was made possible by a $224,000 grant from the federal government.
