A Nevada parolee was taken into custody after authorities discovered a range of prohibited weapons, including a functioning cannon, in his home. Garret Ferguson was found to be in violation of his parole conditions earlier this month.
The Nevada State Police Parole and Probation Division intervened on February 6 after concerns were raised about Ferguson’s compliance with his supervised parole. According to 2News, individuals under such supervision are prohibited from possessing weapons, a rule that Ferguson violated.
With assistance from the Reno Police Department Gun Crime Intelligence Center and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, authorities conducted a search of Ferguson’s residence.
