RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — As potential cuts to Medicaid loom, residents in Northern Nevada are expressing deep concerns about the impact on their lives. Pam Berek, a South Reno resident, is a full-time caregiver for her 23-year-old son, Carson, who has multiple disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Autism.
“It’s not that he asked for this. This is something that was unexpected, happened at birth, and we will be his caregivers for the rest of our lives,” Berek said.
