Nine graduate from CAMO-RNO Veterans program

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Veterans with CAMO-RNO are taking the next step in their lives, with their graduation ceremony being held at Reno Municipal Court on Tuesday.

The goal of the program is to help military members and veterans charged with misdemeanor crimes get their lives back on track.

“This is a Department of Justice sanctioned program,” and the reason that it’s required to be 12 to 18 months is because it does take that long for people to change their life habits,” said Judge Shelly O’Neill.” We have a nearly 80% success rate, so we don’t have veterans returning to the criminal justice system.”…
