Nevada DOT advises attentive driving as U.S. 395 southbound lanes shift for construction

CARSON CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is reminding motorists to drive attentively as southbound lanes are slightly shifted through NDOT’s U.S. 395 North Valleys work zone beginning March 30.

Beginning at 7 p.m. March 30 through late April, southbound U.S. 395 lanes in the North McCarran Boulevard area will be divided from north of Clear Acre Lane to north McCarran Boulevard to accommodate construction in the roadway median. These southbound lanes will loosely form a football shape while crews excavate and pave in the center of the lanes. Both lanes will join together again near North McCarran Boulevard.

Motorists are advised to stay in their lane through the work zone, drive attentively and follow work zone speed limits…
