Traffic stop in Mound House leads to meth seizure and arrest

A routine traffic stop in Mound House on March 28, led to the arrest of a Dayton resident and the seizure of a significant quantity of methamphetamine, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 PM, when deputies from the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Team were conducting traffic enforcement along Highway 50 near Winter Parkway. Deputies observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at an excessive speed and failing to maintain its lane, prompting them to initiate a traffic stop.
