Reno’s U.S. 395 widening project aims to ease notorious traffic woes in North Valleys

RENO, Nev. — Officials from the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) shared information at a public meeting Tuesday on the second and final phase of its U.S. 395 North Valleys Widening Project.

In recent years, U.S. Highway 395 in the North Valleys has become notorious for traffic and long commutes during rush hour and even on weekends.

“Honestly, it impacts it for Saturday events with kids and everything, because there’s just as many people on the road. So I wish they had thought about the roads before they did all the building, the infrastructure before you build,” North Valleys resident Nicole Spurgon said…
