Lane reductions coming for Mt. Rose Highway near Galena Creek Monday

Lane reductions will be in place on Mt. Rose Highway near Galena Creek Regional Park on Monday, May 12, as the Nevada Department of Transportation and Nevada Division of Forestry clear roadside ditches and remove trees.

A half-mile section of the highway between Joy Lake Road and Douglas Fir Drive will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Drivers will still be able to travel Mt. Rose Highway, but should anticipate delays as traffic flaggers and pilot cars alternate directions of travel through the work zone…
