Over the weekend, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a series of arrests across northern Nevada, targeting people they say have prior criminal convictions.
Among those detained was Ernesto Lopez-Barrios, 50, from El Salvador, who was apprehended in South Lake Tahoe. Lopez-Barrios has been convicted of child molestation and driving under the influence (DUI) and is currently in removal proceedings, ICE officials said.
In Reno, ICE arrested Luis Urbina-Bucio, 36, from Mexico, who has been convicted of battery and carrying a concealed weapon. He remains in ICE custody pending removal proceedings…
