A two-day preliminary hearing for a Carson City man accused of open murder in an April 30 shooting has been set for 9 a.m. Sept. 25 and 26 in Carson City Justice Court.
Da’Lecs Smith, 25, is being held in the city jail without bail facing one count of open murder with a deadly weapon, a category A felony, and one count of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, a category C felony.
