Reno proposes 8% sewer rate hike to address rising costs in chemicals and construction

The city of Reno is proposing an 8% increase in sewer user rates, set to take effect on October 1 with a subsequent 8% hike on October 1, 2026.

According to staff, this adjustment aims to ensure the city’s sewer system and wastewater treatment facilities continue to operate reliably and efficiently.
