Superintendent Joe Ernst addressed hate speech found at Washoe County schools during an event May 30 celebrating the groundbreaking for a new Stead Elementary School in the North Valleys.
“I think it is important as an entire community that we recognize the severity and how important it is to eliminate and show absolutely no tolerance for these types of behaviors,” Ernst said. “I really ask that all of us a community, as a school district, as parents, as community officials to all lean in and make sure to continue to educate our students that we do not tolerate any forms of discrimination or hate speech.”
