HENDERSON, Nev. – Nevada State University (“Nevada State”) is proud to announce that Nevadans will soon be able to show their Scorpion pride on the road, thanks to legislation signed by Governor Joe Lombardo on May 30, 2025, authorizing an official Nevada State license plate.
Senate Bill 181, sponsored by State Senator Michelee Cruz-Crawford and passed unanimously by the Nevada Legislature, establishes a specialty license plate celebrating Nevada State. The design features a sleek black background accented with the university’s signature gold and prominently displays the iconic Scorpion mascot.
