The Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation hosted its second ‘Canoe the Slough’ event this past weekend, offering attendees a rare opportunity to explore the Rosewood Nature Study Area by boat.
The event allowed participants to launch kayaks into the slough for a morning of paddling through the wetland, an activity typically prohibited throughout the rest of the year.
