RENO, Nev. — Pam Berek, a Reno resident and full-time caregiver to her son Carson, is grappling with the potential loss of Medicaid benefits. “The thought of losing Medicaid is something that it’s hard to wrap my brain around,” said Berek. Berek is among many worried about the impact of President Trump’s recently passed bill, which narrowly cleared the Senate with a 50-50 vote, broken by Vice President J.D. Vance. The amended bill could result in nearly 115,000 Nevadans losing Medicaid coverage, according to a report from the Joint Economic Committee.
