The city of Reno is celebrating the grand opening of a new playground at Miguel Ribera Park, a significant upgrade for the community beyond the Neil Road area. The park, which spans 19.48 acres, has replaced its outdated play structures, kid coasters, and swings with modern equipment.
In May 2023, the Reno City Council approved the 2023-24 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Annual Action Plan. This plan allocated $2,010,659 in grants from the federal Community Development Block Grant Program, including $700,000 specifically for the renovation of Miguel Ribera Park.
