Man arrested in connection with high-end bike theft

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – Juan Gomez-Arredondo was arrested, booked, and charged with commercial burglary and grand larceny after a $5,200 bicycle was reported stolen from the Worldwide Cyclery in Sparks on Monday, July 7, according to a Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

The Sunday, July 20, post said patrol deputies responded to a burglary and identified former store employee Gomez-Arredondo as the suspect.

Later during a Reno Bike Night event, Gomez-Arredondo was seen with the stolen bicycle and taken into custody without incident…
