RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Silver Legacy is excited to host its 11th Annual Biggest Little City Wing Fest, an event packed with flavorful wings, cold drinks and excellent entertainment, all outside on Virginia Street from Second to Sixth Street. The event takes place Friday, July 25, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 26, from noon to 10 p.m.
Tony Marini, vice president of player development, and Jay Slater, owner of Slater’s Ding-A-Wings, stopped by Morning Break to talk all things street fest and the competition among wing cooks.
Wing makers from Reno and across the country gather to cook over 20,000 pounds of wings in a variety of flavors for visitors to savor and for judges to evaluate. Saturday night brings it all together with awards for Best Dry Rub, Best Unique Wing, Best BBQ Wing, Celebrities’ Choice and the People’s Choice…
