Malfunctioning rooftop HVAV unit emitted smoke inside Boomtown Casino

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Updated at 11:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2: A malfunctioning HVAC unit emitting smoke into Boomtown Casino Resort in Reno caused brief evacuations on Friday, Aug. 1.

Reno Fire Department and Truckee Meadows Fire responded with seven engines, two trucks, a squad, two ambulances, three chief officers and a safety officer, according to a Reno Firefighters Association Facebook post on Saturday, Aug. 2.
