Reno airport begins major infrastructure upgrades with road closures and new projects

RENO, Nev. — Travelers and visitors to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport will notice significant changes starting today as construction begins on two major projects under the MoreRNO Infrastructure Program. These efforts mark a pivotal phase in the airport’s largest modernization initiative.

On August 4, modifications along the airport’s Loop Road will commence to facilitate the construction of a new Central Utility Plant (CUP) and a Police and Airport Authority Headquarters building. The construction will result in lane closures, the relocation of overflow parking lots, and adjustments to walking paths.

Travelers are advised to slow down in construction zones, watch for crews, and follow signage.
