Reno, NV Weather Alert: Near 100°F Heat Returns Monday, Outdoor Safety Urged

Reno, NV – Residents across Reno and much of Northern Nevada should prepare for a burst of dangerous heat Monday as temperatures climb toward 99°F, with little relief until late in the evening. Light winds and cloudless skies will push heat indexes higher, creating hazardous conditions for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, the heat will peak between noon and 6 p.m., with calm winds shifting slightly from the west at 5 mph. Even Sunday’s high of 96°F will set the stage for the spike, and Tuesday is expected to edge even hotter, reaching near 100°F. Areas most affected include downtown Reno, Sparks, and communities along the I-580 corridor.
