City of Reno unveils new Rolling Recreation trailer to activate downtown spaces

The City of Reno and the Downtown Reno Partnership will unveil a new Rolling Recreation trailer on Tuesday at noon at Locomotion Plaza, designed to activate both public and private spaces throughout the downtown corridor.

The launch follows recent recognition for the Rolling Recreation initiative, which earned the Program Excellence Award from the Nevada Recreation and Park Society. The award highlights the program’s community-driven model and its reported impact on reducing crime in the downtown area while promoting safety and connection.

“Rolling Recreation is a creative and effective way to bring people together and make our Biggest Little City even more vibrant,” said Vice Mayor Kathleen Taylor. “We’re proud to partner with the Downtown Reno Partnership to expand our presence downtown and make recreation more accessible to everyone.”…
