RENO, NEV. — It might be a good idea to send the kiddos back to school in shorts! The new week is starting off on the toasty side, with the triple digits expected to make their return to the biggest little city. Lots of sunshine is expected this week, with a few extra clouds for Monday and Tuesday, and light afternoon breezes.
A ridge of high pressure from the Northwestern Pacific is shifting inland towards the California coast and beyond, causing a warming trend over the next couple of days. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory from early Monday morning through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will range between 95-105 degrees in the valleys, while some Sierra communities could see temperatures in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s.
