Jerky Junction sets up a new processing plant in Carson City

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Jerky Junction has opened its doors to a newly retrofitted, 16,000-square-foot facility in Carson City, marking a major step forward for the family-owned business.

Founded in Southern California in 1992 by the late Andy Baird, Jerky Junction began as a small, family-run operation. Today, it is led by Andy’s son, Kyle Baird, and his wife, Sarah, who have steadily expanded the brand’s reach and production capabilities.

According to Kyle, the new facility produces roughly 30,000 pounds of jerky each month. About 60 to 70 percent of production is white-label manufacturing for clients, while approximately 10 percent is dedicated to co-packing services…
