The Nevada Gaming Control Board has scheduled a rare special meeting set for Thursday one hour before the Nevada Gaming Commission holds its regular monthly meeting.
The three-member Board will consider an application from Boomer’s Sportsbook to open its fourth race and sportsbook in the state at Casino Fandango in Carson City. The Commission will then consider the application at its 10 a.m. meeting.
The special meeting allows Boomer’s to enter the Reno-area market after opening its first sportsbooks earlier this month at The Commercial in Elko, followed by Ellis Island near the Las Vegas Strip and Casino Valle Verde in Henderson.
