Toddler found wandering alone leads to parents’ arrest in Cold Springs

Two people were arrested after a 3-year-old child was found wandering alone near Oakbrook Ct. and Oakbrook Ln. in Cold Springs on Tuesday.

On August 19, a 3-year-old child was found wandering alone in Cold Springs, prompting an investigation by the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. The child, who was wearing only one shoe and had no guardian present, was discovered by a concerned citizen who notified authorities and safely returned the child home before deputies arrived.

When deputies attempted to contact the child’s parents, Amber Luck, 36, and Jeremy Dalebout, 48, they initially refused to answer the door. However, deputies were able to reach them the following morning. After a thorough investigation, Luck was arrested on a charge of child abuse/neglect, while Dalebout was arrested on a charge of making false statements to obstruct a public officer…
