The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Sunday at approximately 9:30 p.m. in Lemmon Valley.
Deputies responded to the scene on Chickadee Drive near Deodar Way after a dark-colored SUV, traveling westbound toward Lemmon Drive, crossed lanes in what appeared to be an intentional attempt to strike two residents walking their dog.
The SUV narrowly missed the individuals but hit and killed their 11-year-old dog. The vehicle fled the scene immediately following the crash. The victims described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored SUV with blue license plates, possibly registered in Nevada. No additional suspect information is available at this time…
