Man sentenced to life without parole for fatal Fisherman’s Park stabbing

SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — A man has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for a fatal stabbing in Fisherman’s Park in 2023, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office.

David Abara, 56, was arrested by Sparks Police Department detectives and Nevada State Police Parole and Probation (P&P) in connection with the murder of Randal Lowery.
