The State Public Works Division, in partnership with the Carson City Fire Department, is overseeing the demolition of the Northern Nevada Children’s Home cottages, a process that began on May 28 and is expected to finish by October 24.
Live-fire training exercises are scheduled from September 7 through September 12, allowing first responders to practice real-life emergency scenarios in a controlled environment.
