DMV connectivity issues persist in Reno, delaying some services but allowing renewals

RENO, Nev. — Nearly two weeks after a “sophisticated” ransomware attack disrupted government sites and services, some operations at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) remain affected. Residents are experiencing significant delays, with some services still not fully operational.

“It’s horrible. It’s a three-hour wait to check in, you know, you can’t get any services,” said Mick, a Reno resident.

In a statement to News4/Fox 11, DMV officials acknowledged ongoing system connectivity issues impacting driver’s license transactions. “We are still experiencing some system connectivity issues that are affecting our driver’s license transactions.
