MADELYN ALEXIS MACIAS, 31, of Sparks NV, was found guilty by a jury on September 9, 2025, of transporting methamphetamine for purpose of sale in violation of Health & Safety Code section 11379(a) and introduction of a controlled substance to a prison in violation Penal Code section 4573.
On May 11, 2024, Macias transported to and then brought approximately an ounce of methamphetamine into High Desert State Prison. The defendant was remanded upon the finding of guilt and sentencing is scheduled for October 7, 2025.
