Eddy House opens new transitional living facility for homeless youth in Reno

On Thursday, the Eddy House officially opened a new state-of-the-art transitional living facility, designed to provide homeless young people in the community with a chance for a brighter future. The new facility, known as TLC 36, was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking its official opening in Reno.

Trevor Macaluso, CEO of the Eddy House, said, “We’ve been over capacity with youth sleeping on cots and on couches upstairs as we are trying to accommodate the growing need in our community.”

The facility is tailored for homeless individuals aged 18 to 24, a demographic that experiences a high rate of homelessness. Macaluso explained, “They’ve gone through our programming at Eddie House or they’ve been referred by another program in town through our case managers.”…
