Living near the mountains, spotting wildlife isn’t unusual for many Reno residents — but one homeowner says the bears in her neighborhood have gotten a little too comfortable.
Kathi Scott, who lives near the Steamboat Ditch — a popular corridor for local wildlife — says she’s used to seeing the occasional animal wander through. But lately, her fences and other deterrents haven’t been enough to keep visitors out.
Her friends even gave her a nickname: “Goldilocks.” Why? Because she’s had a baby bear, a medium-sized bear, and a big bear in her yard in recent weeks…
