Reno-Tahoe International Airport to break ground on major Ground Transportation Center

Big changes are rolling in at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority (RTAA) is set to officially break ground on a new Ground Transportation Center, a $299 million project that will bring all travel options — from rental cars to rideshares — under one roof.

Once complete, the facility will serve as a central hub for everything ground transportation, streamlining how passengers get to and from the airport. That means no more darting across parking lots or guessing which curb to meet your driver — taxis, shuttles, rideshares, and rental cars will all be consolidated into a single, easy-to-access site.

The project is part of RTAA’s MoreRNO Infrastructure Program, a long-term plan to modernize the airport and prepare for northern Nevada’s continued growth.
